Amala Chai
Everyone Else
Authenticity
Brewed slow and proper—just like our founder’s grandma makes it.
Often syrupy, rushed, and far from the real deal.
Origin Transparency
Single origin tea & spices from family farms in India.
Rarely disclosed.
Farmer Pay
We pay 4–7X the market rate to support sustainable livelihoods.
Often the lowest possible.
Freshness
Our masala is freshly ground in the UK from this year’s harvest.
I bought this masala chai following a recent holiday in southern India where I really enjoyed the chai from the tea stalls. This product does not disappoint and I like that the spices come from small farmers in Kerala, a state which I love.
