How To make chai at home

  • Step 1

    Place 1 mug of water, chai masala, black tea, jaggery/sugar (optional) into a pan. Place on high heat and stir regularly. If you want an extra kick, grate some fresh ginger!

  • Step 02

    Once your chai is strongly bubbling, add equal parts milk.

  • Step 03

    Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Watch out for your chai overflowing! Reduce the heat and continue to boil.

  • Step 04

    Strain using a strainer and sweeten
to taste
