How To make chai at home

    • Step 1

Place 1 mug of water, chai masala, black tea, jaggery/sugar (optional) into a pan. Place on high heat and stir regularly. If you want an extra kick, grate some fresh ginger!

    • Step 02

Once your chai is strongly bubbling, add equal parts milk.

    • Step 03

Bring to a boil and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Watch out for your chai overflowing! Reduce the heat and continue to boil.

    • Step 04

Strain using a strainer and sweeten
to taste

    What's in my chai?

We partner directly with small-scale tea and spice farms across Assam, Kerala, and beyond — building long-term relationships rooted in fairness, transparency, and respect. We pay up to 4x the market rate, source organically where possible, and prioritise quality over volume at every stage.

    • A full-bodied, malty black Assam tea that is the perfect base for masala chai.
    • Organic spices from our partners farm in Wayanad, Kerala

Brewed slow and proper—just like our founder’s grandma makes it.

Often syrupy, rushed, and far from the real deal.

    Origin Transparency

    Origin Transparency

Single origin tea & spices from family farms in India.

    Rarely disclosed.

    Farmer Pay

    Farmer Pay

We pay 4–7X the market rate to support sustainable livelihoods.

    Often the lowest possible.

    Freshness

    Freshness

Our masala is freshly ground in
the UK from this year’s harvest.

    Spices often dull and blended
